Robotic Cable Assemblies Manufacturer for Motion Systems, Robotics, and Automation
Robotic cable assemblies and machinery robot cables are used for robots that operate in high speed, repetitive tasks requiring EMI shielding, signal integrity and consistent power transmission.
Each robotic cable assembly is designed to withstand millions of bending cycles and ±180° torsional stress, with PUR or TPV jackets that resist abrasion, welding spatters and harsh environments. These cables offer high flexibility, with tested resistance to rapid acceleration and deceleration, chemical exposure, and high temperatures up to 221 °F (105 °C).
As a supplier of custom robotic cable solutions, we manufacture assemblies that meet the rigorous demands of robotics applications, integrating high-flex stranding, multi layer shielding, and robust connector terminations.
Our robotic cable assemblies meet IPC/WHMA-A-620 and ISO 9001 requirements and are tailored for OEMs building robotic solutions for material handling, pick-and-place or automated processes.
Our Robotic Cable Assembly Capabilities
WellPCB delivers robotic cable assembly solutions and machinery robot cables engineered for the electrical, mechanical, and environmental extremes of robotic systems. Each robot cable assembly is built for application-specific motion cycles, routing constraints, and connector formats.
We manufacture custom wiring harness assemblies, robotic cable assemblies and machinery robot cables with conductor sizes from 0.5 mm² to 16 mm² and voltage ratings of 300V, 600V, and 1000V AC or DC.
These cables can withstand continuous movement with bend radii as low as 7.5×OD and tolerate high temperatures up to 221 °F (105 °C).
Conductor stranding follows Class 6 for extreme flexibility, and insulation materials include XLPE or TPE for robotic applications requiring abrasion and oil resistance. All assemblies pass hipot testing up to 2000V and meet industry standards, including UL 758 and ISO9001.
Our low capacitance sensor cables feature 2 to 60 conductors with cross-sections from 0.14 mm² to 1.5 mm², shielded using aluminum/polyester foil and 85% tinned copper braids.
We maintain impedance stability within ±10%, with insulation resistance exceeding 20 MΩ·km. Designed to support analog, PWM, and digital feedback signals, these robotic cable assemblies maintain signal integrity under ±180° torsional loading, tested over 3 million cycles.
EMI-sensitive builds include twisted pair layouts and 360° shield termination.
These robotic cable assembly solutions integrate power (up to 10 mm²), signal (28 to 22 AWG), and data pairs into a single sheath.
Jacket options include PUR with <20 mm cable OD and shore hardness of 90A to resist notch propagation under torsional flex. Strain relief elements use aramid or Kevlar wraps, while inner fillers reduce internal abrasion.
These custom robotic cable assemblies are tested for cable drag systems and multi axis routing with certified durable robotic cables.
For industrial protocols, we offer shielded CAT5e/CAT6A cables rated to 250 MHz, with 100 Ω impedance and pair-to-pair skew below 45 ns/100m.
These robotic cable assemblies are engineered to withstand torsion cycles at ±180°/m and are tested to IEC 61156 for signal degradation and RL attenuation.
Jacket materials include halogen-free TPU for compliance with flame-retardant and low-smoke zero-halogen (LSZH) requirements in industrial automation.
We assemble machinery robot cables using 62.5/125 µm multimode or 9/125 µm single-mode fibers with a minimum bend radius of 10×OD (static) and 20×OD (dynamic).
Optical loss is kept under 0.5 dB/km for multimode and 0.35 dB/km for single-mode, with APC or UPC polished terminations.
Jackets are compliant with RIA and IP69K ingress ratings for high-pressure, chemical-laden environments in robotic vision systems.
We deliver bundled robotic cable assemblies pre-cut, labeled, and sleeved for routing across 4- to 6-axis systems.
Kits include ganged connector terminations, corrugated tubing, and non-migratory tape wrap. Motion elements are tested for drag chain speeds up to 3.3 m/s, with acceleration to 5 m/s² and a bending cycle life of 10 million.
These are suitable for complete robotic arm routing in welding, painting, or palletizing robots.
Each robotic cable assembly can be crimped, soldered, or ultrasonic welded to AMP, Deutsch, or Hirose connectors with IP67/IP69K overmolds in TPU, PVC, or stainless shells.
Pull strength exceeds 50 N per conductor, with overmold bonding validated via peel testing. Cable strain reliefs are validated under 90° and inline tensile force conditions to simulate robotic systems in repetitive motion.
For OEM robotics cable assembly applications, we support low-volume prototype runs to 10,000+ unit production with full lot traceability.
All cables are built under stringent quality control, with electrical tests (continuity, insulation, hipot), mechanical tests (torsion, flex fatigue), and chemical soak testing (195 hours at 77 °F [25 °C] in solvent panel).
Our wire harness documentation includes timestamped QC logs, serialized tags, and optional FAI reports.

Client Feedback On Our Robotic Cable Assemblies
As an R&D manager, I have had an outstanding experience working with WELL-PCB. For many years, our company has entrusted them with the production, assembly, and programming of the boards developed in our R&D unit, and they have consistently exceeded our expectations.
Hamid Reza Moshayedi
R&D Manager
Their work is very impressively perfect. Today, when they check our company PCB board after assemble. They found a fake short point which many engineers has never found in the past years. But that is just designed so. The PCB board quality is excellent. Their service is also excellent.
MikeZ
My friend introduced WellPCB to me, the first try, a little look forward to. I ordered a 47*72 10ps PCB, and I can’t wait to receive my PCB. So I used expedited service and received my PCB in three days. I tested and soldered the PCB, Quality is really good, silkscreen, plating also great.

Robotic Cable Assemblies FAQs
What are robotic cable assemblies?
Robotic cable assemblies are engineered cable systems that connect power, signal, and control lines within robotic systems. These cables are built to withstand high torsion, continuous bending, and environmental exposure in automated equipment. Most use high-strand copper, reinforced jackets, and EMI shielding to support robotic applications with demanding electrical and mechanical loads.
What makes machinery robot cables different?
Machinery robot cables are designed for continuous motion paths that involve twisting, flexing, and high-speed travel. These flexible cables support ±180° torsional movement and millions of bending cycles without failure. Jackets resist abrasion, oil, and thermal stress, while shielding maintains signal integrity in EMI-heavy environments typical of industrial robots.
Do your cable assemblies meet industry standards?
Yes, all robotic cable assemblies are built to IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 and ISO 9001. Where required, we meet UL, CEA, and TUV test requirements. Our cable assemblies meet mechanical stress, dielectric strength, and shielding performance thresholds for robotics OEM platforms and automated processes.
Can you support custom cable assembly requests for robotics OEMs?
Yes, we support any custom robotic cable build with client-supplied BOMs, routing diagrams, and connector specifications. Whether for dress pack kits, servo loops, or hybrid bundles, we produce custom cable assembly runs with full documentation, test reports, and revision tracking. Every project is scoped for specific applications and routed to meet motion and space constraints.
