our molex cable assembly capabilities

Our Molex Cable Assembly Capabilities

We assemble Molex cable assemblies using genuine Molex parts from various families.

These connectors support board-to-board, wire-to-board and wire-to-wire configurations across a wide range of power and signal applications.

Supports 28 to 10 AWG wire sizes with automatic stripping, crimping and insertion. Every molex cable assembly undergoes crimp force detection to meet IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 standards, ensuring mechanical strength and electrical reliability.

Our Molex cable assemblies accommodate continuous power loads up to 23A and low-voltage signal lines down to 5V. Mixed-load designs are supported through multi-pin configurations for compact, high-current circuits.

We provide heat-shrink, braid and overmolded strain relief options for mechanical protection and environmental sealing. Printed or color-coded labeling supports traceability, orientation and field servicing.

Every assembly undergoes 100% continuity and insulation resistance testing. Optional EMI shield validation, pull-force testing and hipot inspection are available for regulated sectors including medical and industrial.

No MOQ custom cable builds support fast prototyping, while automated tooling allows us to scale to thousands of units per batch.

Rapid lead times range from 3 weeks (prototypes) to 5 weeks for bigger orders, depending on volume and complexity.

We only use Molex terminals and housings from authorized suppliers like Digi-Key, Arrow and Avnet. Full lot traceability and component verification reports are provided with each build.

All cable assemblies ship with labeled packaging and serialized test records. Compliance with ISO 9001, RoHS, and industry standard IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 is documented, with optional PPAP and FAI available.

Molex Connector Selection Guide

Choosing the right Molex connector depends on several factors. Our engineers will help you select the right one based on your needs.

Current & Voltage:Mini-Fit Jr. and Mega-Fit support higher power and Micro-Fit or Nano-Fit fit compact or low-current systems.
Mating Cycles:Select high-cycle versions for maintenance-heavy applications.
Class 3 Compliance:Required for aerospace, medical and military builds. We build to IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3, which defines workmanship standards for high-reliability assemblies.
Wire Gauge:28 to 10 AWG range supported. Thicker wire accommodates higher current, but increases bend radius and space requirements.
Environmental Conditions:Use sealed or overmolded types for dust, vibration, or outdoor exposure.

Their work is very impressively perfect. Today, when they check our company PCB board after assemble. They found a fake short point which many engineers has never found in the past years. But that is just designed so. The PCB board quality is excellent. Their service is also excellent.

Molex Cable Assembly FAQs

Molex is a US-based connector and cable manufacturer founded in 1938, with over 70 years of innovation in interconnect technology. Their components are now used worldwide in automotive, telecom, medical and consumer applications. WellPCB works with certified Molex parts to deliver legacy-backed performance.

We manufacture to any required length, pinout or wire breakout. Whether you’re building a single drop-in replacement or a complex multi-branch loom, we can accommodate your specific application.

We support a wide range of input formats for molex cable assembly projects, including PDF wiring diagrams, DWG/DXF mechanical drawings, Excel pinout tables and Gerber files when PCB integration is required.

While we don’t host our own configurators, we reference Molex’s official datasheets and guides to select the best-fit parts. You’ll also receive engineering validation before any build begins to confirm connector series, wire gauge and assembly construction.
